RFC Practice & Game Schedule
We look forward to another great Fall of soccer! Our season kicks off with opening day on the Saturday following Labor Day and we end the second weekend of November.
Divisions & Schedules:
- MINIS (2/3's) Saturdays with a Parent - 9am - 9:45am @ Rowayton School. Parent/guardians be prepared to play and are required for the entire session.
- BALLERS (Pre-K/Kindergarten & 1st Grade)
- PREK: Practice M/W 4 -4:45 pm, Saturdays 10 - 10:45am @ Rowayton School field. Parents please have a guardian stay.
- K & 1st Grade: Tues/Th 4-4:45pm, Saturdays 11-11:45 am @ Rowayton School field. Parents please have a guardian stay.
- WORLD CUP (2nd - 4th Grade Division)
- PRACTICES 5-6:30 pm @ Rowayton School field. You pick any 2 days of practice M-Thurs. (Practice ending moves to 6:15 and then 6pm mid-October due to daylight savings).
- SATURDAYS @ Roton Middle School - BOYS 9am start and GIRLS 10:30 am start. Parent Coaches help the coaches run this program.
- REC TRAVEL (5th - 8th Grade Division)
- PRACTICES: Boys M/W 5-6:30pm and Girls T/Th 5-6:30 pm @ Roton Middle School field. (Practice ending moves to 6:15 and then 6pm mid-October due to daylight savings).
- GAMES: Recreational Travel games are held on Saturdays and will either be home or away based on the Connecticut Junior Soccer (CJSA) Schedule. Players will either be placed on a 5th/6th grade team (9v9) or a 7th/8th grade team (11v11). Home games are scheduled for our travel teams for Saturday, September 7th (for now). Stay tuned for updates on SportsEngine.
During the season, we communicate via TeamSnap for calendar, team communications and more!
What to bring to RFC Practices and Games:
Please have your child wear shin guards, cleats and bring their own labeled ball and water bottle.
Jerseys will be distributed at opening day. For MINIS, PreK, K and 1st, please have your kids wear their reversible jerseys every Saturday and for weekly practices.
BALL SIZES: Minis can have size 1 or 3 balls, PreK through 2nd grade should have Size 3 and 8-10 year olds should have a size 4. Middle School players should have a size 5.
Weather Policy:
We do play in rain if possible! If the fields become unplayable/unsafe or if there are thunderstorm warnings we will cancel. If the weather is rainy, please stay close in the event of a need to cancel practice early. Cancellations will be done by via email.
